Erdbeer Tiramisu

For the Strawberry Sauce:

  • 500g fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

For the Tiramisu:

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24-30 ladyfinger cookies (approximately)
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

1. Strawberry Sauce: a. In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. b. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries release their juices and the sugar dissolves. c. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.

2. Tiramisu Filling: a. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside. b. In another bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. c. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

3. Assembly: a. Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled brewed coffee, ensuring they are coated but not overly soaked. b. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish. c. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. d. Drizzle a portion of the strawberry sauce over the mascarpone layer. e. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberry sauce. f. Finish with a dusting of cocoa powder on top.

4. Refrigeration: a. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.

5. Serving: a. Before serving, garnish the top with fresh strawberries. b. Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy your delicious Erdbeer Tiramisu!
